So, what are your options when it comes to fancy-smancy emails? That's a great question. On the one hand, the sky is the limit in what can be done; but on the other is the cold, hard reality that email clients render HTML very differently from each other! Here at Staff Monkey we have 3 templates that we recommend for use, each having its own strengths and weaknesses.
The Postcard Template is meant to be just that, a postcard update. A nice, big picture with a short paragraph or two that gives your donors a quick update on different happenings going on throughout the year!
The Newsletter Template is best suited for your quarterly updates. It has a nice header image and space for 3 main topics where you can also post two other pictures.
And finally, do you have an alumni newsletter you send out once or twice a year? The Two Column Template is meant for your most infrequent and thus longer, communications. It has a small graphic header and a small side column to place miscellaneous information you might need to share!
